The Public Works Department oversees three departments:

Sewer Department
The Sewer Department monitors all lift stations and distribution lines for clogs and breaks. Billing of water and sewer is handled through the City Clerk.
Street Department
The Street Department's work consists of road patching, snow removal, ditch cleaning, street cleaning, and mowing.
Water Department
The Water Department's work consists of the installation of new water service, meter reading, monitoring well production, and the repair of broken water mains.
The Water Department is also responsible for the Storm Water Utility. Their work consists of maintenance and upgrades of existing storm drain systems, street sweeping & leaf collection, maintenance of storm water basins, development of flood & pollution control measures, monitor activities of builders and utility contractors and support water quality programs that service the users.
