This is a full time position. Hours/shifts will be assigned by the Chief of Police. The entry-level salary for Police Officer I with no certification or experience is $17.80 per hour. Starting salary may be adjusted based on certification and years of experience.
To be considered for employment as a Park City Police Officer, an applicant must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a valid Kansas driver’s license
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be able to pass an extensive background investigation, polygraph, medical exam, and drug screen.
- Not have a personal or professional history that would automatically disqualify you for this position
- Live within 30 minutes driving time under normal conditions.

CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
Would you like to make a difference? The City of Park City is accepting applications for a Code Enforcement Officer. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong desire to serve the community through the enforcement of laws and ordinances related to animals, zoning and building codes, common nuisances and public health and safety.
Ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work with the public, and computer skills with experience in excel and word. Some knowledge of law enforcement principles, procedures, building and zoning codes, and working knowledge of animal restraint and care techniques preferred. National Animal Care and Control Association (NACA) certification a plus. Under the supervision of the Police Department, the Code Enforcement section works primarily first and second shifts. Weekly schedule will be 5 days per week and will include one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) and some on call hours. Applicants must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and must be able to pass a background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen. This is a uniformed position, the uniform will provided by the City. Salary Range 15.17 to 23.06 per hour. Excellent benefit package with health insurance paid by the City.
